  • Chief executive officer of the Universal Heritage Foundation
  • Former president of the Islamic Circle of North America

Zulfiqar Ali Shah is the chairman and chief executive officer of the Universal Heritage Foundation (UHF), whose stated mission is “to promote a greater understanding and respect for, and among, people of all faiths, colors, and gender. . . [so as to help create] a society where we appreciate our diversity and common heritage, while moving forward as one humanity with respect and love for all of God’s creation.” Notwithstanding these lofty professed ideals, Shah stated at one Chicago gathering of Muslims, “If we are unable to stop the Jews now, their next stop is Yathrib [the holy city of Medina], where the Jews used to live until their expulsion by Prophet Muhammad. That’s the pinnacle of their motives.”

Mr. Shah is also the ex-president of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the UHF’s parent organization. According to counter-terrorism expert Steven Emerson, the ICNA has close ties to the notorious terror organization Muslim Brotherhood, the ideological forebear of all radical Islamic movements – including Hamas and al Qaeda. Indeed, documents show that Hamas officials have participated in previous ICNA events. “The ICNA’s hatred of the Jews is so fierce,” writes Emerson, “that it taunted them with a repetition of what Hitler did to them.” In his book American Jihad, Emerson writes further, “The ICNA openly supports militant Islamic fundamentalist organizations, praises terror attacks, issues incendiary attacks on western values and policies, and supports the imposition of Shari’ah [Islamic law].”

Shah is also the former South Asian Director of KindHearts.
